Tiempo Privacy Policy

In short: Tiempo collects no data. It has no account, no advertising, no analytics, no tracking and no crash reporting, and it sends nothing to us or to anyone else. Everything it keeps stays on your devices.

What Tiempo keeps, and where

Tiempo keeps your sessions, settings, plans, notes, voice recordings and any photos you import inside the app on your device. Its History and Insights are calculated on the device.

• iPhone, iPad and Mac: everything stays in the app on that device, apart from what an iPhone shares with its paired Apple Watch (below) and the mindful minutes it writes to Apple Health if you turn that on (below). Tiempo’s widgets and Live Activity read the current session from the same device.
• Apple Watch: sessions you run on the watch are kept on the watch and passed to your paired iPhone directly, through Apple’s watch connection, so they appear in the iPhone’s History. The same way, the iPhone sends the watch its current session, its session lengths and canvas colors, its recent focus and meditation sessions (date, length and canvas) and its alarms with their labels, which the watch keeps so it can show them. Notes, recordings, photos, plans and task names are never sent. Nothing passes through us.
• Apple TV: sessions on an Apple TV stay on that Apple TV and are shared by everyone who uses it. It keeps up to the 1,000 most recent ones.

Your data can be included in your device’s backups, according to your Apple settings.

Permissions Tiempo may ask for

• Microphone: only when you choose to record a voice note. You can type notes without it.
• Photos: adding a picture to your library, only when you choose Save image. Tiempo can’t see your library. A photo you import for Painting is one you pick yourself, and only that photo is shared with Tiempo.
• Notifications: to tell you when a session ends. They are scheduled on your device.
• Motion: Sand and Water can follow the tilt of your device. The motion readings are used on the device and never kept.
• Apple Health: only if you turn on Save as mindful minutes in the meditation settings. Each meditation is then written to Apple Health as mindful minutes, on your device. Tiempo never reads your Health data, and nothing is sent to us.

Sharing and exporting

Nothing leaves Tiempo unless you choose it. Share and Save image on the completion card send only a picture of the finished canvas with the session’s length. A local export (Settings › About Tiempo › Export my data, always free) creates a file with your sessions, plans and written notes, which you then share where you choose. Voice recordings and imported photos are not included in it.

Tiempo Unlock

Tiempo Unlock is an optional one-time purchase. Apple processes the payment, restores it and shares it with your family (Family Sharing) under its own policies. Tiempo never sees your payment details. It reads only the purchase record the App Store keeps on your device, and it sends nothing to us. Plan, Notes, History and Insights are part of Tiempo Unlock, but nothing is deleted if you don’t buy it: your sessions keep saving on your device either way, and Export my data is always free.

Deleting your data

You can delete notes and recordings in Notes. Deleting Tiempo from a device removes its data from that device. Copies you exported, or that are in your backups, are yours to manage. We hold no copy of your data, so there is nothing to request from us.

Children

Tiempo collects no data from anyone, children included.

Changes

If Tiempo ever starts handling data differently, for example with an account or syncing, this policy will be updated before that version is released, and the date above will change.
